The following tips will help ensure a successful pumpout:
Let us know if there is anything unusual about your holding tank – That can include:
Cap labeled improperly
Located under a hatch
Etc
We want to make sure we can empty your tank completely, so please ensure that your:
Valves are correctly positioned
Vents are clear
Please ensure that your holding tank cap can be easily opened – We are unable to service tanks with seized caps. If you do not open your cap regularly, we recommend taking the time to make sure that it turns easily and if not to lubricate the threads as necessary
We will not enter a boat without the owner’s permission, so please be present for the service if your holding tank is not accessible from the outside of your boat
Clogged vents or overcapacity holding tanks can cause them to become pressurized – If you believe this to be the case, please let contact us so we can take the necessary safety precautions
If you believe you may have a clogged vent, please contact us for assistance. Symptoms of a clogged vent can include:
Lingering bad odor
Leakage around tank fittings
Hissing noises
Bulging tanks walls
Liquid flowing back into the bowl
Difficulty emptying the head
Most problems with a pump-out can be handled with taking necessary precautions above and a regular service schedule. If you have any concerns or questions about your service, please contact us for further assistance.
